The kernel is to reach a sufficient stability, as it is required during polymerization, conditioning, or storage and to allow coagulation or coalescence of particles when it is needed, such as during separation of polymer from latex or during film formation. In this study, the emulsion homopolymerization system containing vinyl acetate, potassium persulfate, new polymeric surfactant, NaHCO3 and water was studied in the classical glass emulsion polymerization reactor. The effects of new polymeric emulsifier on the physicochemical properties of obtained vinyl acetate latex properties were investigated depending on vinyl acetate percentage in homopolymerization.

Construction materials used in this work are concrete, metal, and wood. Interface friction angle were determined for three different water contents values of organic soil dry, 25%, 50%, and 75% respectively. Different face roughnesses were tested for different water content. All tests were carried out using direct shear test device. Three different normal forces were used and shear stress at 10% strain rate was taken as maximum shear stress. Test results showed that water content of the organic soil, material type, and surface roughness should be considered while selecting interface friction angle between organic soil and construction materials.

Both tap VEMPs and AC VEMPs were acquired from the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM) with EMG-based biofeedback and monitoring.Results.The usefulness of VEMPs was demonstrated, indicating the presence of a tumor and contributing additional information as to the involved nerve bundles in two out of the three cases.Conclusion.Due to the sensory organ dependency and related innervations differences, acquiring both AC VEMPs and tap VEMPs is likely to increase the probability of diagnosing CPATs and provide more information on the in...

Continuous Loop Averaging Deconvolution (CLAD) method is used in conjunction with tailored, low-jitter stimulation sequences. A physiological brain convolution model for SSR generation is adapted and mathematically analyzed. A SSR synthesis method from acquired transient evoked potentials is proposed and implemented. The mathematical models are used to guide the stimulation sequence design method. Visual evoked potentials (VEP) at 10 Hz and auditory evoked responses (AER) at 40 Hz and 80 Hz are acquired using the specially designed and the traditional SSR sequences. Acquired and synthetically generated SSRs are then compared in time and frequency domains to asses the method consistency. The experimental results show an excellent agreement between the acquired and synthetic SSR in all three modalities.

The method is based on the recently introduced Continuous Loop Averaging Deconvolution (CLAD) method (Delgado and Ozdamar, 2004). Specially tailored CLAD sequences were generated while ensuring equal spacing between all stimuli, except one slightly jittered stimulus to generate

Unlike previously developed deconvolution methods, CLAD provides the capability to generate a large variety of stimulation sequences. Data was acquired from 4 ears at 6 stimulation rates from 58.6 to 507.8 per second and intensity levels
