The Academy Awards annual "In Memoriam" tribute featured Lenny Kravitz performing a powerful rendition of his song "Calling all Angels."
Kravitz emotionally belted out his tribute while the faces of legends like Burt Bacharach, Angela Lansbury, Jean-Luc Godard, James Caan, and Irene Cara were illuminated on the screen above the Dolby stage. The segment was introduced by John Travolta, who choked up while honoring his Grease co-star and longtime friend Olivia Newton-John, who died in August.
While Travolta's introduction and Kravitz's performance were incredibly touching, the "In Memoriam" tribute strangely omitted Charlbi Dean from this year's honorees, despite her starring in Best Picture nominee Triangle of Sadness.
