Diego Bernardini
Es médico de familia y kinesiólogo por la Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Posee un Master en Gerontología y es Doctor en Medicina por la Universidad de Salamanca, España. Además, tiene formación y entrenamiento en medicina familiar, geriatría, salud pública, rehabilitación y educación médica en USA, Inglaterra y Suiza; con un diploma de postgrado como Experto en Planificación y Gestión de Intervenciones de Cooperación para el Desarrollo por la Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos.
Fue consultor de la Organización Mundial de la Salud en Ginebra, el Banco Mundial y la Organización Panamericana de la Salud en Washington DC. Tiene experiencia de trabajo en América Latina, Norteamérica, Europa y el Sudeste Asiático donde fue Profesor Visitante de la Universidad de Malasia en Kuala Lumpur. Durante 2015 fue Coordinador de Proyectos Especiales del think tank International Longevity Centre con sede en Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Actualmente es Profesor Titular de Medicina en la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata y en la Fundación Barceló de Buenos Aires, así como Profesor Invitado en México y España.
En 2015 publicó su primer libro “De Vuelta. Diálogos con personas que vivieron mucho y lo cuentan bien” editado por Random House; libro que recopila 22 notables diálogos sobre la vida y el transcurrir. Siempre pensó la salud bajo el paradigma de la medicina familiar que pone su foco en la atención y cuidado de la persona. Ese principio es el que hoy sostiene en la práctica clínica y la docencia. En 2019 publica su segundo libro “La segunda mitad. 50+, vivir la nueva longevidad” con el mismo sello editorial.
