Except for synthetic source environments, acquiring such rich supervision for each real target domain at deployment is highly inconvenient. However, we realize that standard foreground silhouette estimation techniques (on static camera feeds) remain unaffected by domain-shifts. Motivated by this, we propose a novel target adaptation framework that relies only on silhouette supervision to adapt a source-trained model-based regressor. However, in the absence of any auxiliary cue (multi-view, depth, or 2D pose), an isolated silhouette loss fails to provide a reliable pose-specific gradient and requires to be employed in tandem with a topology-centric loss. To this end, we develop a series of convolution-friendly spatial transformations in order to disentangle a topological-skeleton representation from the raw silhouette. Such a design paves the way to devi...

The aim of the study is to evaluate the outcome of decompressive laminectomy of CSM with lateral mass fixation. The study was conducted on 25 patients operated for cervical decompressive laminectomy with lateral mass fixation and fusion with age group of 40 to 71 years at PGIMER Chandigarh. 21 patients were males and 4 patients were females. Each patient was evaluated surgically using Japanese Orthopaedic Association scoring system (JOA) and radiologically by cervical spine X-ray in anteroposterior and lateral projections. The mean clinical follow up was one year. The mean preoperative JOA score was 10.64±2.4, while the mean maximum postoperative JOA score was 13.64±2.6 and the mean final JOA score was 13.24±2.7. Young age was found to be associated with greater recovery. The cervical lordosis was maintained in a...

They vary enormously based on central objectives. The basic objectives influence the choice and design of various parameters involved in the execution of the program starting from the choice of administering and funding agency, who is eligible to get the loan, security or guarantee required, loan amount covered – whether tuition or living or both the expenses, rate of interest charged – a significant lever in deciding the subsidy, the extent of grace and repayment period involved, repayment modalities, repayment incentives and waivers. This paper is proposed to study the situation of education loan at International Level in various European Countries in Pre and Post 1990’s.

Subjects in groups (i) and (ii) received 10 sessions of the respective treatment. Each subject's score on Range of Moition ,Constant Murley Assessment and visual analogue scale were recorded at baseline, posttreatment session and subsequent followup sessions. In both the trancutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and interferential electrotherapy groups, the Range of Moition , Constant Murley Assessment score increased and the visual analogue scale score decreased signifcantly (both p < 0.0001), and signifcant difference was found between the 2 intervention groups (all p < 0.05). The observed improvement was well maintained in both intervention groups at least until the 6month followup session. Both trancutaneous electrical nerve stimulation or interferential electrotherapy are effective in treating frozen shoul...

Rotator cuff disease is a common condition that causes shoulder pain and functional disability with a prevalence rate of 2.8-15%, affecting approximately 40% of population who are more than 60 years of age and substantially impacting on individual’s function [2]. Aims and Objectives: To study risk factors in patients with symptomatic atraumatic rotator cuff tear –Age, Obesity, Gender, Smoking, Diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Hand dominance, Use of corticosteroid injections, Hyperlipidemia, Osteoarthritis of knee. Materials and Methods: Inclusion criteria § Pain in the shoulder of duration more than three weeks. § Normal range of motion of the shoulder. § One or more than one positive clinical tests for rotator cuff tear. Diagnostic imaging like ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging pointing to diagnosis of rotator cuff tear. Exclusion criteria § History of trauma. § Hi...

Because of the proximity of these fractures to the knee joint, regaining full knee motion and function may be difficult. The present study is being undertaken to evaluate the results of intramedullary fixation for distal femur fractures with or without intra-articular extension. Methods Seventy nine cases of distal femur fractures with or without intra¬articular extension treated by intramedullaiy nail in the department of Orthopaedics, Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, over a period of five years (1st January 1997 to 31st December 2001) were studied. Out of seventy nine cases, forty six cases are of distal femoral fractures could be followed up for atleast four months or till fracture union were considered for final evaluation. Results Average age of study patients was 44.80 years, most were males (75%). Majority of the fractures were compound (71.25%), and (67.08%) had intraa...

It has one of the largest pools of talent with excellent educational background, qualifying them for numerous higher educational programs in India and abroad. The cost of education is rising. However, their insatiable desire to acquire and enhance knowledge will stand them in good stead, in competitive times. Despite all odds, towards meeting this end, the students are ready to walk that extra mile. The opportunities are abundant; and the avenues to attain student‘s career goals are immense; hence, Indian students want to grab these opportunities and make use of it to their advantage. For achieving their objectives, they are ready to stretch beyond their capacities and means. When their personal financial resources do not provide them with sufficient support, they go for external finance. This is where the role of financial institutions assumes great importance. The Government of India is also lending an active support, by relaxing the norms for granting educational loans to students and pushing the public sector banks to extend loans. There are various student financial services, which are structured to provide the financial support, with the help of which the students and their parents can incur the expenses. The finance basically comprises of a mixture of grants, scholarships and loans spruced from private lenders. All of these form a greater part of the package. The services are structured to provide assistance related to financial matters that might come up while pursuing education. The primary concern of the services is to make the process of availing the loans as well as its repayment a hassle free matter for the borrowers.

No features of neurofibromatosis like café-au- lait spots or skin nodules were seen. Excision of Pseudarthrosis site, deformity correction and the lengthening was done by Ilizarov's apparatus, through upper tibial metaphysis. The follow up

Money is loaned to students at a subsidized rate to help towards their maintenance costs and to cover the cost of tuition fees. Graduates repay these loans to the government after their income exceeds the threshold level. These loans are therefore a method for private contributions towards the costs of higher education. An aim of the student support system is to ensure that the upfront costs do not deter potential students. Graduates repay student loans and they generally have above average incomes. The boom in the banking sector has led to release of large amount of funds for education loans. Now, education loans are easily available from various banks in India and this change is encouraging more and more students to take up higher education despite their financial shortcomings. Many nationalized as well as private banks have come up with various educational loan schemes that students can benefit from.The...
