See you tomorrow.
Grabbed the wrong Chromebook.
Guess this mini-vacation will be less interactive than I expected. See you Sunday!
An unexpected but necessary power failure.
Apparently the inspection to check our wiring became a ‘shut down the power until we replace the utility box.’ Ach, well. At least I didn’t have to pay for it.
‘Keep Me In Your Heart.’
Holiday Posting will be in effect.
It’s the Easter holiday, after all. We’ve actually had a pretty good break in terms of doing spouse and family stuff, with more coming up this weekend. Which will also include me taking the eldest kid to go see SINNERS, which looks like it is going to rock. At least if you’re into horror films about vampires*, gangsters, and the Jim Crow-era South.
Hey, family time is where you find it.

*Although they might be demons. That’s fine, too.
So, is THE BOURNE LEGACY actually good?
I sort of ignored the entire franchise. But Youtube keeps feeding me clips from THE BOURNE LEGACY, and it doesn’t look half bad. Do I need to see the other movies in order to understand this one?
The fairly awkward THE SANDMAN: SEASON 2 trailer.
Awkward because Neil Gaiman and a fair number of accusers are in the early stages of a long, drawn-out, and inevitably merciless legal knife fight over sexual harassment abuse allegations. Netflix cannot be overly happy that every single article about THE SANDMAN: SEASON 2 is going to be bringing that up, I’m sure. …Including this one, I guess.
The FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS trailer.
Yeah, I know. Here we go again? Probably. But maybe FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS will finally figure out how to do this team properly. They just have to try enough different times, I guess…

PS: I know, I know: they’re saying dumb things in the public relations space again. Hope, as they say, springs eternal.
The digital version of The Fermi Resolution Worldbook is finished! FILL OUT YOUR SURVEYS!
I will be starting the lock order countdown on Sunday. If you have not filled out your survey by then and have gotten one of the tiers that comes with Special Thanks in the book, I am going to make my best guess as to what you would like to be called. I will be neither whimsical nor malicious, but that does not guarantee that I will be accurate.
Digital rewards will get distributed once orders are locked; print proofs get finalized once I’m certain there’ll be no more changes to be made. The adventure will come later, hopefully by the end of summer. The print version will likely be considerably earlier than that.
Thanks again to everybody who backed – and there’s still a chance to get in on the pre-order store!
