In most cases, you’ll need a referral from a general practitioner in order to get an appointment with a specialist at the MUHC. To make an appointment for an adult patient, please consult our clinics and services listing to find the appropriate phone number. Many clinics use the MUHC Appointment and Referral Centre to book appointments at 514-934-8488.
For a first-time appointment in a service, you will be told how to send your consultation request and what information to include. Please note that you can ask for a follow-up appointment at the clinic reception, following your visit.

Patients and visitors should visit the security desk at the Allan Memorial Institute (1025 Pine Avenue West) or the clinics at The Neuro to receive a reduced rate coupon. Patients and visitors should mention to the clinic that they are parked at the RVH Legacy parking lot when asking for a coupon.
Directions to the parking lot:
From any highway, follow the sign for downtown and exit at Atwater or Guy. Both will take you to Dr. Penfield where you will turn left on Peel Street and come up to Pine Ave. Pine is a one way going East, but you will stay in the right hand lane and when the light changes continue right up the driveway where you will be given a ticket to enter the parking.

What is the waiting time at MUHC Emergency Departments?
Patients are given priority according to the seriousness of their condition and not on a "first-come, first-served" basis. As a result, wait times may vary. Therefore, please do not phone the MUHC with any questions regarding waiting times at our emergency departments.
