The NSLS-II RF system consists of the master oscillator, digital low level RF controllers, linac, booster and storage ring RF sub-systems, as well as a supporting cryogenic system. Here we will report on RF commissioning and early operation experience of the system.

The optical fiber communication system can do the same along with low losses and good quality of transmission. In the recent past, the enormous growth of network traffic on deployed optical communication networks forced the demand for a more constructive utilization of the channel capacity of the optical fiber communication channel. In near future, the next generation optical links are going to carry 10 / 40 Gbps per wavelength. The two windows at 1310 & 1550 nm provide low attenuation with transmission bandwidth of approximately 50 Tbps. Optical fiber communication system are primarily operated at wavelength near 1550 nm in order to match with the minimum loss point of silica fiber and hence maximize transmission distance. Unluckily, at this wavelength dispersion restricts the achievable...

The design problem is formulated as a combination of stopband energy, passband energy, coding gain and the least square error of the overall transfer function of the filter bank. The objective function is minimized with the dc leakage free condition, as the dc leakage free condition is essential in image coding application for smooth image. The proposed method is simple, and has high design efficiency in both time and memory requirement. The performance of this algorithm is evaluated in both subjective and objective quality terms. Two design examples are included to illustrate the proposed method.

This technique is the combination of real and virtual user’s spectral chip, according to the newly developed Zero cross correlation code. The data bit sequence allocates to virtual user is kept in defined pattern and sequence, is complement to each other in a group of two users. Probability of code detection of individual user decreases due to virtual user and complement defined sequence of virtual user removes the occurrence probability of presence of single user’s code in the channel. The simulation and analytical result show that the proposed scheme has a better performance than existing methods.

Spam message consumes most of the node energy and cause energy constraints node to drain with energy. So the prevention of such kind of attack is required in WSN. To solve this issue we are using a systematic approach of identifying spam message which may leads to the DoS attack. We are using a set of mobile agents which perform specifically assigned task to control overflow of excess Spam messages so as to stop DoS attack. The proposed spam prevention model for the MA(Mobile Agent)[9]is experimented on WSN. The proposed model Restrict the unnecessary MAs roaming and cloning are minimized and thus the energy can be saved. To calculate the threshold value we have used two techniques; one is based on the number of itinerary the clone threshold is set and the other is based on the simple moving average method so as to calculate the thre...

Injectors will need to supply full-current bunch replacement in the ring with high single-bunch charge for swap-out. For upgrades of existing light sources, such as the Advanced Photon Source Upgrade (APS-U), it is economical to retain the existing injector infrastructure and make appropriate improvements. The challenges to these improvements include achieving high single-bunch charge in the presence of instabilities, beam loading, charge stability and reliability. In this paper, we discuss the rationale for the injector upgrades chosen for APS-U, as well as backup and potential alternate schemes. To date, we have achieved single-bunch charge from the injectors that doubles the original design value, and have a goal to achieve about three times the original design value.

In the present paper, we have developed gesture and speech based real time communication methodology with humanoid robot using deep learning based techniques. More specifically, for speech based communication, two architectures have been developed using Long Short Term Memory(LSTM) based Recurrent Neural Networks and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for both Hindi and English speech. For gesture recognition and subsequent communication, a specially configured 3-D CNN architecture has also been developed. Further, a fusion framework has been used for comparing confidence scores of all the input modes so that the robot can take a decision for communication based on maximum confidence score. Rigorous experiments have been conducted with standard data sets as well as indigeneously created data sets. Performance results of different architectures have been presented and useful conclusions have been drawn about the effectiveness of using such multiple modes for the robot for decision reinforcement purposes. For conducting all the experiments the Humanoid Robot NAO has been used for evaluating the above methodology.

Manual diagnosis and detection of brain tumours are time‐consuming. Thus, early and accurate detection of such tumours becomes essential for its prognosis. In this work, we aim to develop a fully automated glioma grade classification framework. The proposed method aims to learn relevant and non‐redundant features from magnetic resonance brain tumour images. Gabor filter banks extract discriminant features from the brain images, and locality preserving projections are utilized for feature reduction to achieve non‐redundant features. We train Gaussian radial basis function–support vector machine classifiers using these features for classifying gliomas into low grade glioma (LGG) or high‐grade glioma. We apply Synthetic Minority Over‐Sampling Technique on the minority class (LGG) to mitigate the class imbalance problem. The performance of the proposed method is validated by conducting fivefold cross‐validation. We evaluate the performance of our proposed framework on different BRATS datasets: BRATS 2013, BRATS 2015, and BRATS 2017. We perform extensive experiments on each dataset separately, and experimental findings demonstrate that our proposed approach provides significantly superior performance compared to state‐of‐the‐art techniques.
