Turin is a visually appealing city known for its mountain views and rich cultural landmarks, such as the Egyptian Museum and the Museum of Cinema. Most reviewers agree that it's a worthwhile destination for a weekend trip or short stay, especially for those interested in exploring a different side of Italy beyond the more commercial cities like Milan. Safety is decent in most areas, although the Porta Palazzo market requires some caution with personal belongings.
However, the city has several downsides, particularly for long-term stays. Multiple reviews mention that it's not the cleanest place, and traffic can be hazardous with aggressive drivers. Poor air quality is also a recurring issue. Communication can be a challenge as English is not widely spoken, making it harder for non-Italian speakers to navigate daily life. Affordability is another concern, with some noting the cost is not justified unless one's main purpose is to learn Italian.
Overall, Turin is best enjoyed as a short-term tourist destination rather than a place to settle down for an extended period.

Beautiful city and well worth a weekend trip. Pretty safe in most areas, though you should keep an eye on your belongings at the Porta Palazzo market. One thing worth noting is that the air quality can be quite bad, and the drivers are also quite erratic. Probably wouldn't live in Turin long-term, but it's worth a visit for sure.

Great city if you come here as a tourist But after one month here it has not been my best experience The city is dirty and peoples don't talk great english but defenitively some nice place to visit like the egyptian museum or the museum of cinema and also the muntain are not that far away. For thr price it's not the best blace to go unless you absolutely want to learn italian. And gosh try not to be run over by cars there.

One of the best Italian pearls I have seen in this classy country. Fully recommend for it's great mountain scenery saw from above the city. Better city than Milan I guess.

Values shown are estimated visits by traveling remote workers based on the total amount of trips logged by Nomads.com members. Visits to a place are only counted once per year per user, even if they visit more in that year. Visits are also normalized by overall trips added per month on the site, so if site usage goes up or down it does not affect trends. Not all digital nomads are on Nomads.com, and not all Nomads.com members log their trips. So the data is only indicative.
The chart below shows visitors by nationality normalized for population size. This means we take all trips logged on Nomads.com, check which country of origin the user is from, then divide that total visit count by the country of origin's population. If we didn't, it'd just show the big countries like US, Brazil and India always on top. Instead, this shows which nationalities worldwide proportionally visit more or less, which is more useful.

@melissawashin: "I gave my two weeks notice last week, and I'm flying to Portugal in two weeks. It's important to say (for the ninth time) that joining Nomads.com was the best decision I made to best inform and prepare myself for this decision. So thank you a million times over!"
@zackyoung: "You're going to be lonely sometimes and that's okay. One way I combat this is by being a part of Nomads.com and meet up with other remote workers."
