The purpose of this study was to compare the reliability and validity of iCBM by using the re-vised digital scoring process (R-DS) and the original digital scoring process (DS). The results showed that the reliability of R-DS were higher than DS scoring procedure. The latent growth modeling analysis can be used for re-porting information on the reliability of CBM measures when employing longitudinal mathematics performances. Based on the results, R-DS is more stable and accurate scoring procedure than the DS procedure by the iCBM application.

The HappyCAD system includes instructional management and engineering drawing modules. Theengineering drawing module provides three-dimensional (3D) models and interactive 3D solids. Learners can interact withthe system and use various tools for drawing. Students can also receive feedback from teachers and redesign theirengineering drawings. The HappyCAD system was implemented as an e-learning tool in an engineering graphics course forjunior high school students. Students’ perceptions of online learning with HappyCAD in engineering drawing werereported along with learning outcomes that resulted from their use of the e-learning tool. This study demonstrated thepositive effectsof anonline engineeringdrawing systemon students’engineeringdrawing literacy. The finding suggests thatstudents generated positive attitudes towards learning engineering graph...

The system provided a learning activity management module for teachers to administer peer tutoring activities, and included various math representation objects, communication tools, and reward schema for facilitating online peer learning activities. Four fourth-grade students with LD participated in this study in the online peer learning setting for two semesters. The results indicated that the proposed system was effective to enhance the mathematics learning of students with LD, especially the learning of conceptual and application math problems. Students with LD showed improvement in math fluency on conceptual problems. The findings also supported the effectiveness of the math objects provided by the synchronous peer tutoring system for facilitating communication among students and understanding of math concepts in the online activities. The results are discussed from the perspective of online peer learning research.

There were 34 third-grade students in two remedial classes participating in this study for seven weeks. The results of repeated-measures analysis of variance indicated that students in the experiment group had significant learning gains. In addition, the helping strategy tools effectively improved children's mathematics performance.

Using the mobile tablet device such as iPad in mathematics testing has an added value. The proposed study aims to develop the curriculum-based measurement (iCBM) in mathematics by mobile technology and to explore the effects of iCBM on children's achievement and attitudes. A total of ninety-two third-grade students in Taipei, Taiwan participated in this study. Students in two classes used iCBM for math tests. The other class took the paper-and-pencil CBM tests. Students took a CBM test weekly in consecutive two weeks. A questionnaire was administered after the completion of CBM tests. The results indicated that students in the iCBM group had better math scores compared with students with the paper-and-pencil testing. Students showed a positive attitude toward the usability of iCBM system. The mobile testing environment also facilitated students' attitude toward math tests. The result indicated that students had lower levels of test anxiety when using the mobile tablet device. This study supported that the mobile tablet device designed for mathematics tests is a promising approach for elementary children.
