This globetrotting Grandma and author of 10 children's books just loves to create. Her large print text and colorful illustrations are created with her 6 grandkids in mind. She refers to her books as lap readers and written for child and grandparents to enjoy and share together.
Dannette's goal is to encourage strong reading, listening and spelling skills. It is her belief that good reading, a healthy lifestyle, a positive mindset and the ability to enjoy the simple things, enhances a child's self-esteem.
Dannette is a recipient of a 2006 Best Book Award (non-fiction/parenting) category; a recipient of a Honorable Mention at the 2017 Los Angeles Book Festival (Children's fiction), and recipient of 2 Honorable Mentions in 2 categories (Pets & Charitable actions) at the 2021 Purple Dragonfly Book Awards. Her latest 3, published in late 2022, are about cute, little Geckos. One rated for ages 2-4, One rated ages 5-7 and One rated ages 8-10. The 3 new gecko books are also available in Spanish.
