Isolated Attosecond Pulses using Multi-Cycle Drivers and a Weak Second-Harmonic Field

Abstract

Addition of 1% second harmonic intensity to the driving field in high-harmonic generation can be used to double the attosecond-pulse period to one optical cycle, explained by a classical mechanism and observed in a quantum simulation.
