ਸੋਨਾਰ (ਸਾਉਂਡ ਨੈਂਵੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ ਐਂਡ ਰੇਜਿੰਗ) ਇੱਕ ਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਕਨੀਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਾਣੀ 'ਚ ਖਰਕਿਰੀ ਧੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਪਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੇਠ ਡੁੱਬੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਲੱਭੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। [1][2][3]
