Vector engine
Vector embeddings are mathematical representations used to encode objects into multidimensional vector space. These embeddings capture the relationships and similarities between objects. SAP HANA Cloud Vector Engine facilitates the storage and analysis of complex and unstructured vector data (embeddings). It ensures that embeddings can be seamlessly processed, compared, and utilized in building intelligent data applications and adding more business context in case of GenAI scenarios.

Knowledge graphs
The knowledge graph of the SAP Datasphere automatically creates an ontology which is a way of linking data in various formats based on various concepts. It represents the relationships in the data, including the inherent business context from SAP application sources like SAP S/4HANA. This is then available to be extended and augmented via an ontology editor to reflect specific attributes within an organization. Knowledge graphs can provide better context to large language models (LLMs) and reduce AI generated hallucinations.

SAP’s policy was first published in 2018. It governs the company’s use and sale of AI, ensuring that customers remain aligned with global AI principles whileSAP Business AIdelivers fully on its promise of relevance, reliability and responsibility.

The UNESCO guiding principles govern various aspects of AI ethics, including proportionality, safety, fairness, sustainability, privacy, human oversight, transparency, responsibility, awareness and multi-stakeholder collaboration. They aim to ensure that AI technologies are developed and used in ways that respect human rights, promote fairness and contribute to sustainable development.
