PITTSBURGH, PA —Fifteen CitiParks pools will open on June 15, while the remaining three city-operated pools will be closed because of maintenance issues.

Homewood Pool will be closed due to ongoing Homewood Park renovations. A cement and liner issue will prevent Ream Pool from opening. Various renovations needed for the pool and pool building will keep Sheraden Pool closed.

The days and hours of pool operations for those that will open have yet to be announced, as lifeguard schedules have not been finalized. The last training class for the 140 lifeguards recruited for the summer concluded over the weekend.
