How Much Rain Did Philadelphia Get Monday?

The National Weather Service totaled the rainfall around the Philadelphia area from Monday's massive deluge of rain. See how much you got.

PHILADELPHIA– Heavy rains that fell Sunday, April 15 and Monday, April 16 caused numerous issues around the Philadelphia area, including leaving drivers stranded and turning roadways into waterways.

But how much rain fell in Philadelphia?

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey totaled rainfall in the Philadelphia area and provided the figures online.

A total of 2.8 inches fell at the Philadelphia International Airport as of 2 p.m. Monday, the NWS says.

The Northeast Philadelphia Airport totaled 2.47 inches, also at 2 p.m. Monday.

And in South Philly, a trained NWS spotter recorded 2.21 inches as of 7:15 p.m. Monday.

The highest total recorded in Pennsylvania was at the Doylestown Airport where 2.85 inches of rain fell.

Eagleville saw the least rain with 1.62 inches, according to the NWS.
