Then twenty years passed. In 2010 I discovered the abandoned iTerm project. I started contributing bug fixes to it for issues that I noticed. I published my changes to the dear departed Google Code. People started filing bug reports, and I figured I might as well fix them—why not? Before I knew it, the project took off. Since then there have been seven major releases, 11,000 issues, and over 14,000 commits. I'm even more excited about this project now than when I began.</p><p style=""></p><h4 style="">The Future of iTerm2</h4><p style="">I plan to keep working on this project forever.  I quit working for big tech companies so I could focus on this project. If you enjoy iTerm2, help support free software by giving back.
