Hey there, my name is Retro and I'm a pixel artist and game developer. For the last 5 years I've been working on an adventure game called&nbsp;<a href="https://pixelart.academy">Pixel Art Academy</a>, where you become an art student and learn how to draw. The game is currently in early access and heavy in development. Pixel Art Academy&nbsp;started as a project for my Master's&nbsp;Degree in Education and is now my full-time job. By also becoming my patron you will be able to play the current version of the game, and get access to behind-the-scenes vlogs. Note: if you want to support the project without needing access to the game, you can make a custom pledge and give any amount you want. On my&nbsp;<a href="https://www.patreon.com/join/retro">Patreon join page</a>, scroll down, and choose Make a custom pledge. You will still receive my patrons-only vlogs and the art pack. The three main tiers you can pledge for correspond to how much&nbsp;Pixel Art Academy normally costs, but at 80% discount!&nbsp;With the $2 pledge you get basic player access where you choose from one of the pre-designed characters to play the game with. At $4 you get full game access with the avatar editor to create your very own character. The $8 tier also gives you alpha access. It's not currently needed, as the first chapter of the game is open to everyone (open alpha). It's mainly just a way to support the project more. As new chapters go into development in the future, alpha access will let you play them before anyone else. As a patron, you will be able to play Pixel Art Academy on the <a href="https://pixelart.academy/">main game server</a>, while you remain a patron. However, all the funds you contribute through Patreon are also added to your game account so you can keep the game after you've pledged enough (you will need $10 for the basic version, $20 for the full version with the avatar editor, $40 for alpha access). This means that after you've pledged for 5 months, you've accumulated enough store credit that you can buy the game (at your tier) and keep playing forever. Be aware that the game is far from finished, and development is very long-term. The game will be continually improved over the next years with regular releases along the way. New features will first get released to players with alpha access and when a full chapter of gameplay is completed, it will become available to everyone.
