Due to lack of sleep and tiredness, drowsiness can occur while driving. The best way to avoid accidents caused by drivers’ drowsiness is to detect drowsiness of the driver and warn him before fall into sleep. To detect drowsiness many techniques like eye retina detection, facial feature recognition has been used. Here in this paper, we propose a method of detecting driver drowsiness using eye retina detection and pulse rate detection of the driver. In this report, we propose a more accurate drowsiness detection method which is a hybrid approach of eye retina detection and pulse pattern detection.

ICT has become a substantial source of innovation across the globe. Though there are positive social and educational benefits of ICT use, scholars are currently attempting to identify whether ICT usage is destructive since it is related to the psychological aspects. When reviewing each research paper and other data source individually, there is a dearth of the extensive literature in pertinence with this research area in the Sri Lankan context. Therefore, this study primarily focuses on examining how the factors: smartphone usage, social media usage, Internet usage, device usage, video gaming, and television viewing influence undergraduates' psychological well-being. To achieve the proposed research objective, the quantitative research method was adopted. Primary data were gathered through self-administered structured questionnaires from the undergraduates in a state university of Sri Lanka. The SPSS package was used to analyze the collected data. Basic descriptive statistics, and stepwise regression tests were performed to determine the answer to the research questions. Consequently, the key findings revealed that social media usage, internet usage, and television viewing have a positive significant impact and video gaming has a negative significant impact on psychological well-being. However, smartphone usage and device usage have no significant impact on psychological well-being. Moreover, internet usage is the most influential factor of ICT usage which has the strongest predicting power on psychological well-being. The findings of the study would be beneficial to the university students, parents, academic and non-academic staff, social media developers, mobile applications developers, and television providers to properly respond to this emergent phenomenon.

It is essential to identify the how share price volatility based on the earnings fluctuations since it is main determinant, although there several environmental factors influence to share price. The sample of the study composed of 30 listed companies including Beverage Food and Tobacco, Manufacturing, Diversified Holdings from data 2011 to 2015. The results revealed the share price more volatility based on the Price Earnings Ratio and Earnings per Share of the company, it significant at 1% level.

Therefore, identifying the impact of ICT usage on the psychological well-being of students is crucial for the higher education sector. This study mainly focused on examining how factors like smartphone usage, social media usage, internet usage, device usage, video gaming and-being. To achieve the proposed research objectives, the quantitative research method was adopted, and data was gathered in the form of primary data through self-administered structured questionnaires. 383 undergraduates from the state universities of Sri Lanka participated in the study and the stratified sampling technique was employed. Collected data was analysed using the SPSS package and basic descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression tests were run in order to examine ICT usage and its impact on the psychological well-being of undergraduates. Consequently, the findings revealed that social media usage, internet usage, and television viewing have significant positive impacts, while video gaming has a significant negative impact on the psychological wellbeing of undergraduates. This study is examined is there significant impact of board configuration on financial distress of manufacturing firms listed on Colombo Stock Exchange during the period of 2012 to 2016. The study identify there is only significant impact on distress is CEO duality and other board size. Both control variables of Return on Equity (ROE) and solvency are show significant impact on financial distress and there is a significant negative relationship in between the both independent variables of CEO duality and solvency.
