Papers by Frank Kostrzewa
In this context, you cannot do without an analytical descriptive approach. The present volume starts from the contrast language German and compares it with Japanese, Korean, Spanish, German as a minority language spoken in Hungary, as well as Arabic and Chinese.
The participating linguists work with authentic language material and demonstrate comprehensibly to the readership how they got their results and insights.
The book is recommended to all interested readers and above all to those who deal with contrastive, historical and applied linguistics as well as foreign language didactics.
The present research work outlines the central results of my empirical research on acquisition processes in the acquisition of German as a foreign language (mainly by Korean learners). The detected acquisition sequences (in the areas of mode, case, tense, prepositional, adverbial and conjunctional systems) lead to didactic and methodological considerations for the constitution of instructional processes.
The research area of German as a Foreign Language is closely related to the areas of Germanic linguistics as well as empirical language teaching and acquisition research, nowadays also referred to as “L2 acquisition research”.
The area of second/foreign language research is also closely connected to the Anglo-American research discipline of L2-Classroom Research.
