That's more or less what I did with my category banners here, just with categories instead of articles.

@AndyRussG Well, I haven't worked for years on SUL finalization as a volunteer when we don't use this for global settings (and we do so for other functionalities already!). ;)

@Pcoombe Yes, I sadly know. And in my opinion, I consider this a bug and not a feature. Many of us are active on more than one project and get annoyed by the same banners multiple times.

@AndyRussG Thanks for the helpful explanations! :) Do you have any technical documentation about CentralNotice which would help CN administrators like me to better understand the system?
Thanks @AndyRussG for fixing the preference bug!

The campaign has been deactivated for various reasons. Another SecurePoll link will be created soon. Besides that, the banner code has been fixed. For further information, please follow the CN request page: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CentralNotice/Request/Movement_Charter_Drafting_Committee_Election

We stewards can only confirm that it's actually you who filed this request but we cannot reset the email address ourselves. Only a developer can. ;)

Banner campaign will start on Monday, 8:00 UTC (= 9:00 CET). Correct banners should be attached.

Indeed, I've flipped the banners. Thanks for the ping.

#cvn-unifications is intensively used by stewards to detect abusive user names. It's the easiest (if not only useful) source of global account creations.

@SPoore Thanks for clarifications. Now I understood what you meant with partial blocks. However, I still think that we should be transparent about that in general while functionaries should definitely see that at any time.

Hi, I am afraid I do not understand the reasoning.

I got the first error when I used Special:Nuke on Wikimedia Commons. Is it possible that something has not been updated with this old tool?

Thanks! :-)
Well, I tried to fix it but it fails which is why we are seeking help here. I can still see the WLE banner on the landing page:

As a Wikimedia Steward and WMDE colleague, I can confirm that this is Léa Lacroix. Please reset her 2FA, thanks.

Sure, especially banner building. Multi-lingual sounds good, too.

As a Wikimedia Steward I can confirm that both his accounts are used by the same person who is standing next to me.

A hack in my script should avoid such problems in the future.

Stewards use loginwiki more than 10'000 times per year, see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Stewards/CheckUser_statistics_for_loginwiki. To date, we need to login to loginwiki to be able to check IPs there with the checkuser tool.

I successfully renamed the account under the auspicies of legoktm.

Hm, afaics, the list stops at G- (see e.g. https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UsersWhoWillBeRenamed&dir=prev&limit=25 https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UsersWhoWillBeRenamed&dir=prev&limit=25 ). Is there a limit for lists on Special pages that requires extension in order to get more results?
Finally available! :-) Thanks for everyone who made that possible. Will you eventually implement an option where we can filter by editcount or hide at least the 0 edit accounts?
