An update about this banner:

• in order to give some space to another campaign on Wikidata, I'd like to change the dates to October 13 to October 31 (start 2 weeks later than planned)
• the link of the "event schedule" button remains unchanged: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Tenth_Birthday/Run_an_event/Schedule#Add_your_event_to_the_calendar
• can we also have a "translate" link in the corner like for the other banner?

I just made a Central Notice request for this banner. Because of the very short deadline, I decided to postpone the start of the campaign to September 5th.
While looking at it with Martin, we noticed a couple of things that should be fixed:

• Start date: September 5th
• End date: September 19th
• Site: Wikidata, not Wikipedia
• Target: logged in users only
• We should have a small "Translate" link somewhere on the banner, linking to the translation page
• A campaign type should be specified (not sure what it should be)

Could you fix these things? Thanks a lot!

Note: I'm hoping to have the "Events schedule" button linking to a specific link of https://diff.wikimedia.org/calendar/ but it is not ready yet (Diff is encountering issues that are preventing people to add events to the calendar). As a backup, if we can't migrate the events to Diff, it will link to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Tenth_Birthday/Run_an_event/Schedule#Add_your_event_to_the_calendar

The announcement went out today (on various Wikidata channels as well as next week's TechNews) and the feature will be enabled tomorrow, June 21.

Hi @Jgiannelos are you still the person assigned to this task?
As mentioned by users above, missing borders on a map view can have a very practical impact on volunteers working with these maps in different areas of the world, putting them at risk if they share these maps publicly (for example, a Wikidata Query Service map on social media).
From what I can see, there seem to be two different things going on:

• a bug that doesn't show some borders at certain levels of zoom
• some borders are completely missing from the map

It would be awesome if someone could look into it again. Thanks in advance!

Question: how difficult would it be (or is it even possible) to enable the feature on Lingua Libre (an external Mediawiki/Wikibase install outside of the Wikimedia projects)?

Unfortunately, we cannot add any session in the main track at that point. However, feel free to book a 55min slot in one of the hacking rooms! You can look at the schedule, choose the slot that suits you best, and directly add it in the wikitable.

21:00 UTC is still available, the only change is that it will take place in an open hacking room on Jitsi instead on the main livestream, which may actually facilitate the interaction with participants.
If you prefer being on the main track (livestream + recorded, no direct interaction with participants), then I can only offer 17:00 or 18:00.

We're still looking for someone who could facilitate this session: make sure that everyone has a chance to speak, take notes, etc.
If no one volunteers for this task in the upcoming days, we will not schedule it during this hackathon. Maybe it can be run another time, for example during Wikimania's hackathon :)

As agreed, the pre-recorded session from Dan would be presented on the main track beforehand (16:30), and you could even jump in at the end so you can "advertise" the Q&A and encourage people to join you there. Is the time OK for you?
