Portuguese architect.
Master in Architecture by the Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal) and, having been awarded with a "Merit Grant" from the Swiss Confederation, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Suisse).
Worked in Switzerland, France, Japan and Portugal.
Integrated, in Switzerland, the “Laboratoire de Production Architecturale”, from the Swiss architect Harry Gugger, former main partner of the Swiss architectural firm “Herzog & De Meuron”.
Worked in Paris, as a research fellow, at the Fondation Le Corbusier (2012).
Participated in the 14th Architecture Venice Biennale (2012).
Authored the book “Nadir Afonso, Architect” (2013), the only monographic work about the architecture of the renowned Portuguese painter-architect Nadir Afonso, who worked with Le Corbusier and Oscar Niemeyer.
Published in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Russia, USA, Brazil, Japan, China, Singapore, India, Thailand and Turkey, also authored numerous articles, chronicles, essays and scientific papers comprised in several publications, exhibitions and conferences, participated in different debates, talks and round tables, integrated scientific committees, and has been giving presentations, testimonies and interviews to various cultural, media and online channels.
Finalist in the Iberian awards “Premios FAD de Arquitectura e Interiorismo” (2014, ArquinFAD, Barcelona).
Worked in Japan, in Tokyo, at Shinichi Ogawa’s architectural office (2013-2014).
Received the “Architects Now Award” (2015) from the Portuguese Architects Guild, for the recognition of his path abroad, namely in Japan.
Worked, from 2015 until 2019, at Frederico Valsassina’s architectural office in Lisbon.
Two consecutive years (2017, 2018) appointed in 2nd Place in "Fernando Távora's Prize" from OASRN - Portuguese Architects Guild, Northern Section.
Started his own architectural practice since 2019.
Nominated by Richard Armstrong (director of Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum) for "Golden Trezzini Awards" (2021, USA), for "Best Project of Private Residence", having been awarded a Special Mention in the same category.
Winner of the "Aedificio Awards" (2021, Italy), for "Progetto Meritevole" ("Deserving Project").
Nominated for "LOOP Design Awards" (2022, Portugal), for "Best Architecture Design".
Finalist of the "Architizer A+Awards" (2022, USA), for "Best Private House".

Currently undergoing his Architecture PhD - an in-depth research devoted to the crossing of his knowledge in modern architecture and Japanese architectural, artistic and aesthetical culture -, at FAUP (Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto), as an integrated associate researcher at the lab "CEAU - Center for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism" (group "Theory and Design Practices"), with a grant awarded by FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology).
