He escapes, however, by tunneling through the wall of the building in which he is confined and hides by burying himself in the desert sand. Anna Jones's dog discovers him, but loath to deliver him to the posse, Anna provides him with a horse. Hoping to see her again, Cranner returns and is almost captured by the posse, but the sheriff arrests the real horse thieves and reveals Cranner's true identity. Written by AFI See less
