His adaptation to life in the United States is a difficult process. First he must overcome the negative stereotype associated with being a Marielito. Next, there is the matter of finding a job and otherwise integrating into North American Society. Through it all, he finds freedom, abundance, confusion, and deceit... but he also finds Amigos.
