While two of the prisoners make it to the nearby getaway van, Terry Sladden (Robin Askwith) helps Joe but their slowness spooks the van driver who leaves without them. They make their way slowly to a nearby farm where the farmer, his wife, and elder daughter are just driving off to the cattle market leaving Peter (Stephen Garlick) in charge with his younger sister, Kate (Jayne Collins), and brother, Tim (Peter Marshall).
