He and his wife had many arguments on the subject, which always ended in the same way, that Reginald kept right on drinking. Finally the patience of the wife came to an end, and she determined that she would cure her husband, no matter what she had to do to him. About this time she ran across an ad from the snake-charmer and it gave her an idea. This man claimed he could do anything with snakes and Mrs. Reginald decided that she would make her husband see snakes and convince him that they were only creatures of the imagination. While Reginald was out one evening, the snake charmer and his family were smuggled into the house and they prepared a warm welcome for Reginald when he returned. He found snakes in his bedroom, snakes in the reception room, and a most interesting entertainment going on, in which reptiles played the principal part in another room. The upshot of the matter was that Reginald was nearly scared to death, decided that he had been hitting it up too strong, and took a flying leap to the water wagon. Written by
