Although Percy is wealthy in emotion, he is poor indeed in worldly possessions. He is about to commit suicide when he receives a letter from a wealthy cousin that he is about to visit him. The cousin comes and when he meets Percy's neighbor, he becomes a worshiper at her shrine. Percy tells his cousin he can fix things up. The rich cousin is orey-eyed and supplies Percy with the "wherewithal." Percy gets on the job. but instead of working his cousin's game, works his own. The cousin begins to suspect that he is being double-crossed and starts out on his own hook. His captivating personality is too much for the little artist, and she succumbs to his charms.
