He is the ridicule of the cowboys, because of his determination to do things; but when Mrs. Stubbs appears he is completely stilled. Mrs. Stubbs drives to town for some groceries and finds a youth from the city, whom she commands to come to work on her ranch. Her daughter, Rose, has returned from the city school, and is quite a young lady. She, of course, falls in love with the city youth, and they plan to elope. They leave that night, but Mrs. Stubbs, ever on the alert, gets out of bed and follows them, only to be too late, for they are already joined in wedlock. She sees the two lovers spooning, her heart is touched, and she decides to let Mr. Stubbs take charge of the ranch from now on. Written by
