She agrees to accept the first one to bring her a ring. Kewpie holds up a stage, while Bud finds a nickel, and wins a large amount in a gambling place. Bud wins out and gets Kate, but Kewpie, in a jealous rage, tells the sheriff that it was Bud who robbed the stage. Bud is led away, and is about to be hanged when the sheriff discovers that the money is Confederate, and all ends satisfactorily. The scene in which Bud is being hanged, although treated in a comedy manner, will be considered unpleasant by many in the audience. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
