It deals with an African American first-year college student named Peter who struggles to even believe in Christianity. Our main character Peter after experiencing a traumatic breakup, struggles to figure out his life, purpose, and identity. Peter blames his Christian upbringing for the breakup and decides to get rid of his faith while he's in college. At first-year orientation, we meet our female protagonist, Melissa; Melissa is a college sophomore who is an enthusiastic follower of Christ and is a student leader at a Christian college fellowship called New Life. Melissa meets Peter and asks him to join her fellowship, but after hearing Peter's concerns about the faith, she decides to challenge Peter's unbelief. Now we, the audience, follow Peter on the journey of figuring out if he should even believe in Christianity.
