The campus covers an area of 21.5 ha in Sampaloc, Manila. Since its establishment, the university has experienced an increase of enrollment in such a way that in 1927 it was moved from Intramuros to its present site covering an area of 21.5 ha in the district of Sampaloc, Manila. The university has a very important role in the society because of the presence of a university hospital which caters not only the immediate environments. Its sphere of influence is extended nationwide. The unique nature of the university entails variable users, such as students, administrators, faculty, and the staff with regard to the hospital, the medical staff, patients and visitors, and church parishioners. As PUP faces the challenge of maintaining and improving the quality of education to as many deserving but financially challenged students with very scarce resources there is a need to establish a protocol to assess the students other than the PUPCET examination and their high school ratings in Math, Science and English. The assessment is necessary in order to complement and supplement the required skills they need to finish the BS Architecture and BS Interior Design programs within the prescribed period to ensure the sustainability of the programs in the College of Architecture and Fine Arts. The primary objective of the admission officer is to focus on admitting students who possess the potential to succeed academically in the institution.
