At RAINN, we’re united in our mission to support survivors and seek justice, but we each bring a unique set of skills and experiences to the table. It takes all of us working together to end sexual violence. That’s why RAINN’s staff come from many different backgrounds, fields, and disciplines. Our team is made up of experts not only in social work and victim advocacy, but in public policy, law, research, technology, communications, and marketing. You have a place at RAINN.
We listen. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE, online.rainn.org and in Spanish at rainn.org/es). We’ve helped more than 3.7 million survivors and their loved ones through this free, confidential, 24/7 service and our other victim services programs. We also run hotlines for the Department of Defense and other organizations across the country.
We engage. RAINN works with national media and the entertainment industry to elevate sexual violence storylines and the voices of survivors that reach millions of households across the country. We also raise the voices and stories of sexual assault survivors through our national speakers bureau of more than 4,000 survivors.
We act. RAINN’s work includes expanding the use of DNA in unsolved rape kits, reducing the backlog of un-tested rape kits, reforming statute of limitations laws, broadening survivors’ access to appropriate medical care, protecting young athletes, and bringing perpetrators to justice.
We help. RAINN works with clients across public, private, and nonprofit sectors to develop targeted, effective sexual assault education and response programs.
RAINN offers internships year-round in our Washington, D.C. office. Internships are available with our teams in victim services, communications, development, consulting services, human resources, research, and public policy.
Support survivors by volunteering for the National Sexual Assault Hotline. RAINN will train you to provide live, anonymous crisis support to survivors across the country.
RAINN is dedicated to providing appropriate and sensitive support to everyone who seeks it. We know that no two survivors have the same experience, and we strive to provide services and information that respect these differences among us.
RAINN will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, genetic information, disability, or protected veteran status.
