This work presents the development of a common control paradigm based on wireless sensor networks... more This work presents the development of a common control paradigm based on wireless sensor networks, which takes into account implementation of LoRa WAN network in Latvia. This work presents a research on creation of smart municipal systems in a local cloud of services that apply SOA and IoT. A broker that applies orchestration services resides on a gateway, which provides adapter and protocols translation functions, and on a tool for wiring together hardware devices. We implemented a MQTT enabled service broker, which deploys data flow programming tool Node-RED for wiring together divergent hardware devices and nodes, and APIs for online services. A case study of the service broker implemented for control of municipal systems in urban environment is presented and discussed in this work.

The advantages of the industrial processes automatization are obvious thus the engineers often meet the necessity of development of such systems resulting in the designing of new production lines. The article provides the description of the mathematical model of the expert system and the procedure of the adjustable electric drive selection. The computational experiment of system calculation is given in the article. The example of application of the selected adjustable drive for production line is also considered
The problem of renovation of the electric drive pump stations is highly actual in Latvia. In part... more The problem of renovation of the electric drive pump stations is highly actual in Latvia. In particular, in Riga the operation of major pump stations is economically unprofitable. The renovation is a long-term project, whose results will be seen in the future. Therefore, it is of importance to choose such a type of the pump regulation that will be effective in perspective, taking into account the capital and maintenance expenses. The paper describes a decision making procedure for the choice of a controlled pump drive in the project of water supply system renovation. The procedure involves improvement of the efficiency of electric energy use within the system. The authors propose a method for calculation of the electric energy consumption by pump drives in the cases of valve regulation of a drive as compared with the speed regulation using a frequency converter, which allows a smooth control of voltage and frequency thus changing the water feed. The results are demonstrated in the diagrams. For calculation, the Zolitude (Riga) pump station was taken. The results of calculation can be used for elaboration of the procedure of decision making on the choice of a water pump station based on the economic comparison in medium- and long-terms

Problēmas aktualitāte ir saistīta ar elektrodzinēju izvēli ražošanas sistēmām no esošās zināšanu bāzes ar daudzkriteriālo izvēles algoritma palīdzību, ņemot vērā lielu ražotu elektrisko dzinēju skaitu. Kā galvenais elektrodzinēju izvēles kritērijs tiek izmantoti dzinēja jauda un sistēmas elektropiedziņas vadības iespējamība, kas lielā mērā ietekmē ražošanas sistēmas ekspluatācijas izdevumus, tai skaitā elektroenerģijas patēriņu. Intelektuālo elektrisko dzinēju izvēle tiek izmantota Cascade-Correlation neironu tīklu apmācības metode, kas ļauj no esošās zināšanu bāzes pēc ražošanas sistēmas funkcionālām prasībām atlasīt nepieciešamos elektromotorus un elektriskās piedziņas un atlasīt optimālo elektroiekārtu, jo neironu tīklu pielietošana ļauj efektīvi un ātri izdarīt nepieciešamo izvēli. The problem of expert system development for selecting efficient reserved power source for small ... more The problem of expert system development for selecting efficient reserved power source for small ship electrical system is important for sustainability of on-board power supply system. It is important to create an expert system which can estimate and choose the necessary electric equipment conform to set criteria. Problem of possible equipment alternative ranking expert system development for selecting efficient electrical devices for small ship electrical system consists of three main blocks: development of the knowledge base; the database and the rule interpreter. The rule interpreter is often known as an inference engine and controls the knowledge base using the set of facts to produce even more facts. In this article ELECTRE III based rule interpretation are used. Nowadays often energy saving decision making problems for small ship use only one criteria, as energy consumption level, but usage multi criteria decision making methods, as ELECTRE family methods for development power supply system for small ships, as also choosing reserved power supply equipment could help to make decision by multi criteria, as short term and long term costs, repairing time, safety and others. This problem is actual also in reserved electric power equipment and other equipment choosing. The difficulty of expert system building, for this problem solving, that it is not possible to define a completed set of the criteria in general set of criteria, it could be defined just only for very special cases like choosing reserved power supply equipment for small ships

Izstrādā elektrisko motoru izvēles sistēma dod iespēju ņemot vērā visas elektriskās piedziņas sistēmas elementu: elektrisko motoru, frekvenču pārveidotāju un vadības shēmas specifiskos parametru. Elektromotoru izvēles informācijas sistēmā tika izveidota, ņemot vērā sistēmas elastības svarīgumu, datu pieejamība un to kvalitāte (vai ir pietiekams ziņu daudzu par motoru, lai pieņemtu lēmumu), paskaidrojuma moduļa esamība (terminoloģija), sistēmu var izmantot neatkarīgi no citas programmatūras. Iegūtie rezultāti var būt pielietoti elektropiedziņas sistēmu darbību uzlabošanai. Elektrodzinēju izvēlei tiek piedāvāts pielietot informācijas sistēmu, izmantojot mākslīgā intelekta metodes (ekspertu sistēmas), sistēmas uzbūve ļauj samazināt elektroenerģijas patēriņu ražošanas uzņēmumos. Rakstā tiek analizēta ekspertu sistēmas struktūra un tās izveides procedūra. Uzskaitīti elektrodzinēju izvēles principi un kritēriji stohastiskam noslodzes režīmam. One of the main objectives of the fifth generation (5G) mobile communication systems, also known ... more One of the main objectives of the fifth generation (5G) mobile communication systems, also known as IMT-2020, is to increase the current data rates up to several gigabits per second (Gbit/s) or even up to 10 Gbit/s and higher. One of the possibilities to consider is the use of higher frequencies in order to enlarge the available bandwidth. Wider bandwidth is necessary to achieve much higher data rates. It should be noted that wireless broadband transmission technologies require frequencies for their development. The main goal of the research is to investigate the characteristics and requirements of 5G mobile communication systems. The paper provides an insight into deployment scenario and radio wave propagation in frequencies above 24 GHz of IMT-2020.

In the thesis on the basis of the analysis of forestry parameters and their changes the models were constructed, which describe an effective complex permittivity of these heterogeneous environments, thus this model takes into account various wood structures. The determined electrodynamic models of radiowave propagation at through propagation of radio signals in forestry were constructed. On the basis of Tverskogo and Ritova approximations the approached statistical electrodynamic models at through propagation in forestry were constructed. Experimental researches of radiowave propagation between BTS and MS were done, taking into account the influence of forestry.
