Burgos hosts the Kick-off Meeting of Social Innovation & Democratic Education (EU-SIDE) Project

On 9 and 10 April, the University of Burgos, as the coordinator, within the RUN‑EU alliance, became the meeting point for the partners in the Teacher Academies project, 80% co-financed by the European Commission, and entitled “EUropean Social Innovation & Democratic Education (EU SIDE)”. This project was one of the 14% proposals selected by the European Commission.

TUS Successfully Hosted the Third EMIC Mobility Week

The third RUN-EMIC mobility week took place from 10 to 14 March 2025 at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), with mobility experts from all alliance partners visiting the Athlone and Limerick campuses. For this edition, several Sustainability experts joined to advise on EMIC’s sustainable mobility and nature-positive measures agendas.

The RUN-EPA Catalogue of Learning Opportunities has been Published

The RUN Discovery Student Academy is a comprehensive mentoring programme coordinated by the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FHV), tailored for late-stage B.Sc. students, M.Sc. candidates, and young researchers (in the first year of their PhD) embarking on their academic journeys.

RUN‑EU is Awarded with an ERASMUS+ Teacher Academies Project

The RUN‑EU alliance submitted a proposal in the 2024 call, where only 14% of the proposals have been funded. Among them is this project: “European Social Innovation & Democratic Education Teacher Academy (EU-SIDE)”, which be developed in the period 2025–2027, with a budget of €1,470,825.
RUN‑EU Innovation Day – IPCA Promotes a Round Table on the Challenges of Social Innovation in Educational Contexts

On 14 November, the Auditorium of the Municipal Library of Barcelos hosted the RUN‑EU INNOVATION DAY 2024, an event promoted by the Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) as part of the RUN‑EU European Alliance. The central theme of the roundtable was “Social Innovation in Educational Context”, and it brought together representatives from academia, the Municipality of Barcelos, third-sector organisations and Escola Básica da Ponte to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in this field.

RUN-ESEC SAP Empowers Students to Make a Lasting Impact on Society

RUN‑EU Students Influence Europe’s Future at the 3rd European Student Assembly

Five RUN‑EU students represented the Alliance at the 3rd European Student Assembly at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from 10 to 12 April.
The event brought together over 250 students from 41 European university alliances for an exchange of ideas and collaboration on the future of Europe.
The RUN‑EU European Programmes Academy Exploratory Missions (EPA-Missions) will bring its community together throughout the alliance for in-person, weeklong knowledge-creation events with the aim of co-creating joint learning opportunities for RUN‑EU learners.
RUN‑EU Launches European Stakeholder Engagement Centre (ESEC) in Burgos

The RUN‑EU European Stakeholder Engagement Centre (RUN-ESEC) kick-off meeting took place in Burgos at the end of March.
Representatives from all eight member universities of the RUN‑EU Alliance attended, as part of the initiative led by the University of Burgos (UBU) under the WP4 whose goal is to enhance societal engagement through public-private collaborations.
Staff from the international offices of all RUN‑EU member universities gathered at the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences (NHL Stenden) in Leeuwarden from 4-7 March for the first European Mobility Innovation Centre (EMIC) Week of the second cycle of RUN‑EU.
A new RUN‑EU 2.0 milestone has been reached today with the creation of the Students’ Knowledge, Attention and Technologies (SKATE) committee.
This student-led communications advisory group is a dynamic initiative comprising two Student Council members from each university within the RUN‑EU alliance.
RUN‑EU made history today when the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) became the first Irish university to lead a European University Alliance.
