Anyone who has driven a motor vehicle through national parks or other wild areas has seen
depressing evidence that animals get hit by cars. In Austria, apparently, such killings are not
taken lightly. The patent describes an improved ultrasonic generator that produces ound in
the range of 14 to 26 kHz to warn wild animals from the path of the vehicle. The device is
similar to a flue pipe and is actuated by very low relative wind velocity.--
