StarOS is a message-based, object-oriented, multiprocessor operating system, specifically
designed to support task forces, large collections of concurrently executing processes that
cooperate to accomplish a single purpose. StarOS has been implemented at Carnegie-
Mellon University for the 50 processor Cm* multi-microprocessor computer.
