Changes in the vegetation of any geographic area is seen constantly. In order to ensure the
preservation of these agricultural characteristics, the changes are detected to build
knowledge base. This research aims at calculating the agricultural changes near Vellore
district using LANDSAT and images taken from 2003-2009. SVM classification is the method
used for obtaining the results.
