Hot formed NdFeB magnets

Y Yoshida, N Yoshikawa - Modern Permanent Magnets, 2022 - Elsevier
Soon after the development of rapidly solidified Nd-Fe-B as a new class of permanent
magnet material by JJ Croat in 1983, the same group also reported that full-density bulk
anisotropic magnets could be produced. This was achieved by applying hot pressing and
hot deformation to the rapidly solidified powders. Although the magnetic performance is like
sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets developed by M. Sagawa, this hot-deformed magnet is a unique
magnet where crystal alignment is not achieved by an external magnetic field but through …
