Venus Khim-Sen Liew studied Mathematics (B.Sc.) and Financial Economics (Master, Ph.D.) at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Venus has been in the teaching line since 1986 and is now a Professor in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Venus likes to apply linear and nonlinear econometric modeling and forecasting, bootstrapping, and technical analysis technics in studying issues related to international economics, financial economics, and macroeconomics. To date, Venus has published numerous articles in refereed international journals, including those indexed in WoS and the SCOPUS database. Venus is the chief editor of a book titled "Time Series Econometric Analysis: Selected Issues in ASEAN Countries" and of various conference proceedings. Venus is the author of "Monetary Models of Exchange Rate: Nonlinearity Matters" and co-author of “Basel Accords, Bank Capital and Portfolio Risk Behavior”. Venus serves various government consultancy projects as a statistician, modeler and forecasting consultant. Venus has recently become keen on COVID-19 impact research.
