Diana Pinho is a Research Fellow at the Microelectromechanical Systems Research Unit-CMEMS and LABBELS Associate Laboratory. Her research interests are focused on microfluidic platforms for organ-on-chip studies, biosensing integration, cancer rare cell isolation, computational modeling, continuous whole-blood flow processing microfluidic devices. DP obtained her doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, in 2018 with a scholarship from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. She is an Invited Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and the Biomedical Project Leader at FABLAB IPB. DP authored several publications in good-impact peer-reviewed journals (Scopus ID 35180338000), being highly proficient in the design and microfabrication of miniaturized microfluidic systems for applications in the screening of biological fluids.
