Information

I am a graduate of P. J. Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia. I am board-certified in radiation oncology and in clinical oncology. I was attached to the Department of Clinical Oncology at Christie Hospital in Manchester during my training. I have been working as a head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the East Slovakia Institute of Oncology in Kosice since 2005. I earned my PhD in oncology at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2007 with a PhD theses entitled "Chemoradiotherapy of Head and Neck Cancer". I have been engaged at the Catholic University in Ruzomberok in the position of associated professor. I am the president of the Slovak Society of Radiation Oncology. My clinical practice is mainly related to head and neck cancer and prostate cancer radiotherapy. Other fields of interest include altered fractionation, palliative care, concomitant chemotherapy, and radiotherapy quality control. I have been involved with a number of clinical studies of prostate and head and neck cancer and glioblastoma. I have been publishing and presenting mainly in the field of radiotherapy of malignant tumours.
