Vyacheslav Protsenko graduated from the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology and received his Ph.D. He is now a Full Professor at the Department of Physical Chemistry here. His research activities include Electrodeposition and characterization of various metals, alloys, and composites; Electrodeposition of coatings using deep eutectic solvents (DESs, a new type of ionic liquid); Electrodeposition and characterization of electrocatalytic and photocatalytic coatings; and Kinetics and mechanism of stepwise electrochemical reactions with the participation of intermediates (theory, mathematical models, and simulation).
