Friedman is a clinical associate professor of pathology at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine and the medical director of transfusion services at the NYU Langone Hospital, Long Island. He is board-certified in blood bank/transfusion medicine by the American Board of Pathology and has extensive experience and publications in the subspecialized area of patient blood management.
