Dr. Rafael Santos is Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Guelph, and is a registered Professional Engineer of Ontario. Dr. Santos obtained his BASc (Hons) and MASc degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto (Canada), and his Ph.D. (s.c.l.) degree in Chemical Engineering from KU Leuven (Belgium). Dr. Santos has also worked at Zenon Environmental, Vale Inco., and the Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Dr. Santos’ areas of expertise include CO2 sequestration/utilization, solid waste and wastewater treatment, environmental remediation, process intensification, applied mineralogy, and geochemistry.
