Dr. Josip A. Borovac (MD, PhD, FESC, FHFA) is a faculty member at the Department of Pathophysiology, University of Split School of Medicine, and an interventional cardiologist at the Cardiovascular Diseases Department, University Hospital of Split, Croatia. He is an active member of the Croatian Cardiac Society Working Group on Heart Failure, a current member of the HFA’s Committee on Devices, and a former member of the ESC Working Group on Thrombosis Young Researchers (YTRG) Nucleus. Dr. Borovac has published extensively in his clinical areas of interest, including interventional cardiology, acute coronary syndromes (ACSs), percutaneous coronary intervention, and heart failure (both acute and chronic). His main scientific interests focus on research topics in interventional cardiology, coronary artery disease, heart failure (acute and chronic), and novel cardiovascular biomarkers. He is a contributing member of the European Association for Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (EAPCI) and a distinguished Fellow of the Heart Failure Association (HFA) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
