Giovanni Martinotti is a medical surgeon specializing in psychiatry. He is an associate professor of Psychiatry at the “G. D’Annunzio” University of Chieti and a lecturer in psychiatry at LUMSA University in Rome and the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. Giovanni Martinotti studied Medicine at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, where he graduated cum laude in 2000. He specialized in psychiatry, conducting his thesis under the supervision of Bruno Callieri on the Phenomenology of Corporeality. He later obtained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the same university; he subsequently obtained a degree in Philosophy and a master’s degree in Anthropology at La Sapienza University of Rome. Throughout his career, Giovanni Martinotti has worked in the field of Addiction Psychiatry within the National Health Service (SSN), first at the Day Hospital of Psychiatry and Addiction at the Gemelli Policlinic in Rome, and later at the Psychiatric Diagnosis and Treatment Service at the S. Annunziata Hospital in Chieti.
