Τania Siahanidou is a Professor of Pediatrics and Neonatology, and Head of the Neonatal Unit of the First Department of Pediatrics of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at “Aghia Sophia” Children’s Hospital, Athens, Greece. She was trained in Neonatology at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of St George's Hospital, London, UK. Her scientific interests are focused on topics related to prematurity, neonatal nutrition and metabolism, but also neonatal infections. Professor Siahanidou is a member of many scientific societies, reviewer for a number of academic journals, and member of the Editorial Board of six medical journals. She has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals and participated in many funded research projects and multicenter clinical trials. Fifteen of her scientific projects have been awarded.
