Prof. Dr. Chu received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees from Wuhan University, in 1996, 1999, and 2007, respectively. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Machine Vision Group at the University of Oulu. Since 1999, he has been with the School of Electronic Information, Wuhan University, where he has been a Full Professor, since 2014. He has authored more than 70 articles in related journals and proceedings. His research interests include image processing and artificial intelligence. He was selected for the talent program of Wuhan Yellow Crane Talent Program (Science and Technology) in 2015.
