I am a 5th year PhD student studying Human Centered Design and Engineering (HCDE) at the University of Washington advised by Professor Beth Kolko and Professor Sean Munson. I am currently part of the Intentional Traces Collective (ITC) and the Tactile and Tactical Design Lab (TAT Lab).
I am a human-computer interaction (HCI) researcher who studies technology design for older adults. I am interested in learning how technology influences older adults’ social connectedness and their support networks, as well as how social and familial contexts shape their technology use and adoption in return. Specifically, my research focuses on how communication technologies and Internet of Things (IoT) smart home technologies play a part in the aging experience.
I have an M.S. in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington. I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California San Diego, where I was part of ReCODE Health and the UCSD Design Lab.
I like starting new hobbies like in my spare time. Let me know if you know something I should try!
