Jujutsu
Japanese martial art
Jujutsu (柔術, jūjutsu) is an ancient Japanese martial art.[1] This form of martial arts uses few or no weapons at all and includes throws, holds, and paralyzing attacks against the enemy. Jujutsu developed from the warrior class around the 17th century in Japan. [2]
History
changeThe systems of unarmed combat which were developed and practiced during the Muromachi period known as Japanese old-style jujutsu (日本古流柔術, Nihon koryū jūjutsu). For example, a samurai might defend himself with jujutsu if he was without his swords.
